Dick Tracy Wristwatch Phone to Come Out This Year

Dick Tracy Wristwatch Phones seem to be fictitious if you recall watching the last movie where Warren Beaty played the popular cartoon character. But apparently, LG Electronics, notably on the offensive despite a faltering economy, has other plans in mind to remind us of who Dick Tracy really was. And to refresh us, LG Electronics has announced that it will be unveiling the Wrist TV later this year which is sure to be something worth checking out.

With its tiny screen and short battery life, a wristwatch phone would be more suitable as a second phone, complementing more fully featured devices. U.S. carriers so far haven’t attempted to sell more than one phone to each customer, and their plans and billing systems aren’t designed for this. But in Europe, it’s not uncommon to have several different phones for different occasions.
