Photographers are almost like soldiers. They have their abilities and they hone their skills in the field, but they require the best equipment to be on top of their game. For those who want top-of-the-line DSLR cameras, take into consideration the recently-released Canon EOS 500D — a nuclear warhead amongst cameras.
The Canon EOS 500D has 15.1 megapixels and hosts a number of improvements compared to its predecessors. Canon announced it on 25 March, 2009 and released it to the mass market by May. It is named as the EOS Kiss X3 in Japan, while it is called the EOS Rebel T1i in North America. It replaced the EOS 450D as the current top-of-the-line DSLR in Canon’s product line.
Aside from its usual features for still photography, it is also the third DSLR by Canon to have a movie mode, and the second to record video in 1080p resolution. This and the fact that they use SDHC for storage makes the EOS 500D almost similar to other models in the EOS range like the EOS 450D and the entry-level EOS 1000D. Since moving to SDHC from Compact Flash, the EOS range has become even more popular and accessible to both professional and recreational photographers who desire something more than just a simple point-and-shoot camera.
Producing top quality digital images in high resolution is not a simple task for any camera, which is what makes the Canon EOS 500D a great camera indeed. It is professional-level photography made even more powerful with more features than you can ever imagine.
