Home Theater Watch

We have seen portable theater systems come and go. Those portable DVD players may be handy one time or another, but there really is no other use for them other than being a poor man’s entertainment system. Perhaps portable media players are still relevant in the market, but that’s mostly because they of their multi-functionality and portability. If only they get even smaller, perhaps they can be novel enough to actually hit harder than just being a one-trick pony since multitaskers are the in-thing right now.
Enter the home theater watch. Okay, maybe it is way too small to be a full home theater, but you get the picture here. It does more than just tell time, but also play movies right on your wrist. If portable media players were not enough to amaze people, this is just over the top and almost sci-fi. Imagine watching movies on your watch – long queues are now less boring.
With a 2.5GB internal memory, it can contain around 3 movies in AVI format and a few songs since it can also play MP3’s and WMA’s. Earphones can be plugged in since there is just no way for speakers to sound good in such a little thing, even if it is amazing. Powered by rechargeable batteries, it can go for 4 hours of continuous playback or 7 hours of just telling good old boring time. It can be connected to your PC via USB, so things are simple enough with this little thing.
It does use a custom format though, so you will have to convert your videos, but it is alright since this product comes with its own conversion software. The 128×128 screen should be enough for a watch to keep your from squinting since it is bright and clear enough. Come on, what do you expect from a little watch that plays movies?
