Here is something a little weird, but fun. Most people know universal remotes as these things that cost a bit more than they are worth, but can do good in cleaning up the coffee table of numerous remotes for the TV, DVD player, sound system, and many others. The living room feels much more comforting without too many remotes to worry about, especially when they get lost in the recesses of your couch. However, most of these things are bulky with too many buttons to think about, especially those that you can never decipher on your own. Pressing one of these mysterious buttons may even spell frustration upon finding out that they scramble up the channels and stuff like that.
Here’s a universal remote that is both literally and metaphorically magic. The Kymera Magic Wand is a universal remote in the shape of a wand. The best and most obvious thing about it is that you can wave it up and down like a real magic wand to change channels. You can also tune the volume by waving it in a circle clockwise or counter-clockwise. This battery-powered marvel can do a total of 13 “magical functions” for the TV.
Perhaps it is not much of a gadget, but when was the last time that you have to press on the + channel button a lot harder for it to work? The number seven may be broken and pressing four conjures up six for some strange reason. With the Kymera Magic Wand, there are no broken buttons to worry about since you use movement to change channels. If only other remotes were this fun and functional, then the world would be a better place to live in.
The Kymera Magic Wand will cost at around $83 by the time it is released into the market.
