If you’re using Amazon’s Kindle then this might be the best time to reconsider and stop reading or else you’ll get a sad whooping from a giant dose of buyer’s remorse. Recently Barnes and Noble just introduced a new e-book reader called the ‘Nook’ and it is stylish, sexy and hot inside and out.
At first glance Nook looks like Amazon’s white E-Book reader; instead of a keyboard the Nook has a color touch screen as a replacement. The built in touch screen and reader did great on replacing the bulging chicklet keyboard from Amazon’s Kindle. It is also used to browse the contents of the E-book much that of a real book from cover-flow style. The Nook runs on Google’s new Android OS and will also be supported wirelessly from AT&T.
The Barnes & Noble’s Nook is price the same as the Kindle 2 at $260 and is expected to be on sale by the end of November.
The Barnes & Noble’s Nook features a regular black and white electronic display much like that of the Kindle. It sports a 3.5 inch color touchscreen that enables you to browse books with the use of the display. The Nook also comes built-in with WiFi, and 2GB of internal storage and features a MP3 player that is capable to do open formats such as EPUB. People using Nook, will have access to features such as bookmarks, and the ability to share books with friends through smart phones, e-readers or computers allowing connectivity and sharing to be a breeze.
Customers of the Barnes & Noble’s Nook will have access to many online bookstores that has a wide array of books, magazines, newspapers and other forms of media. The Nook itself can hold a staggering of 1,500 E-books. Well just have to wait when it comes out and see for ourselves.
