In the past current years Kia motors is on the verge of developing new cars for the near distant future. Kia has already brought us some unique and innovative new motors. Like the funky Soul Burner and the Venga supermini.

Staying true with its promise, Kia has brought to us the new cee’d 2 with ISG technology.

As part of Kia’s new goal of delivering quality and innovative cars, they have come up with EcoDynamics. Imbedded in the automobile the new ISG technology (Intelligent Stop and Go), this clever little piece of technology cuts the engine whenever you set the car into neutral and whenever you hit down at 3mph. You may have taught that you’d have to set back into first gear but not to worry the engine and the clutch restarts back at where you exactly stopped and you’re ready to power away and go.

Surprisingly enough though, when I test drive the car on the open road and stopped at civilians crossing, and put it into neutral, the engine did cut out but the battery inside the car still functioned out normal. The dashboard lights stayed on and the stereo speakers still sound loud and clear.

You might wonder what’s the reason behind cutting down the engine. The fact is that it conserves fuel. Saving up fuel means saving up more money, and saving up more money means you have that extra cash on purchasing new high tech gizmos. Not to mention you also help save the environment by purchasing less on fuel,

Sadly enough, there’s no official standard of measuring fuel, but by using this technology Kia claims an impressive CO2 emissions rating of 110g/km, and 67.3mpg. Other notable features include a UK-tuned suspension, a six – speed gearbox, a redesigned front grille and sharper interior.

It’s a remarkable new car with all the latest eco-friendly features packed into one.
