From the company that brought you their famous Cybershot and Walkman phones now comes another addition from Sony Ericsson. At first glance the new Sony Ericsson C901 would just be another 5 – megapixel camera phone, you thought wrong. It may sound a disappointment, considering the 8- megapixel camera phones available out there in the market. The C901 considerably is one of the few handsets out there that is supporting a Xenon flash, not all camera phones could support this kind of feature.
Another unique feature of this phone is that it is eco-friendly in nature. The Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart is quite distinct from the rest of the models out there. It is made roughly from recycled materials that makes it more eco-friendly.
Just like the previous Cybershot phones, taking pictures with the C901 is fantastic. With the build in dedicated camera controls, adjusting your camera for the right mood is as easy with a touch of a button. It has a 110MB of internal memory and it is expandable up to 8GB with the M2. Screen resolution clocks in at 2.2” 256K color display at QVGA resolution. It also supports an accelerometer and it is motion sensitive with many games. Switching to music then to games couldn’t be that much harder since it supports multi-tasking with its brilliant task manager.
The main disadvantages of this phone is that it doesn’t have any document viewer and no hot swap feature which makes swapping of memory card a daunting task since you have to remove the battery cover before you can change.
All in all the Sony Ericsson C901 is a great value of your money. Looking at the pictures I took, made myself drooling, with the crisp and vibrant image it captures. It may be just like an ordinary phone but come to think of it is more eco – friendly.
