With another addition of Canon’s new line up of PowerShot models comes the new, Canon PowerShot SD940 IS. The new SD940 is typically light weight and compact in design. Unlike from its predecessors the SD940I packs in with a huge 2.7 inch LCD display at 230,000 pixels. Along with a 28mm lens with a 4x zoom in the front. The new Canon PowerShot SD940 Is comes in with a minor interface tweaks, remaining most of the earlier models appearance much intact. Basically the features of its older model the SD780 is still found present in the new models interface. This includes the mixed performance of its older brother with the tendency to produce crappy purple haze. But none of these problems go to its extremes since the SD940 IS still remains king when it comes to the best ultra compacts cameras.

With one just look at it, you can actually see that it is relatively small, somewhat like a small ID Card. It only weighs in at 4.9 ounces and packs a serious 4,000 x 3000 pixels / 1,280 x 720 at 30FPS for a camera small enough to fit inside your pocket. Regardless of its small size, the SD940 IS still remains as sturdy as ever. However if you’re planning to take it into some wild crazy adventure be sure to keep it in a protection risk bag to avoid scratching its delicate body and huge LCD screen. The SD940 IS comes in different colors, silver, black ,blue and brown.

Just like its predecessors the Canon PowerShot SD940 truly is a wonder to behold. It’s still an enjoyable camera to use combining its incredibly minute size, attractive fair design, and complete with simple click and shot functionality it still remains the best irresistible ultra compact camera one could ever had.
