Looks like HTC has proved it to the public that having a phone with a Windows Mobile feature doesn’t sound bad after all. HTC has made it clear that it is the first one to bring a whooping 4.3-inch screen and the first phone to feature Windows Mobile with capacitive screen or touch screen.
It is also the first phone to use the Sense UI, outside of the Android range bringing Facebook and Twitter status to your contacts straight in your phone’s home screen. To give you a clear view of what Windows Mobile means, it is actually a hybrid of HTC’s standard TouchFLO interface and that of the HTC Diamond, with special elements like full screen weather updates and full access to loads of information with just a swipe of a finger.
Regarding on the finger swiping, it is actually really responsive. With just little effort you can glide through the menus, the same functionality with those found in Apple’s Iphone. Accessing media has been improved for the HD2, and it shows that it has the Snapdragon processor doing all the work for you. Flicking through album covers gives you the power to change songs and when you turn your phone on its side, the phone automatically changes to Coverflow mode and browsing pictures would be put in landscape view.
With regards to connectivity, the HD2 is on the average performance. Internet is good, giving you full functionality at great speeds. One of the best things that make the HD2 stand out from the rest is their messaging prowess. You can actually sync up to 10 email address in the phone in either IMAP or POP3 with just a push of a button.
The HTC is really a great phone with great functionalities but with some minor flaws, but in the end t is still a great phone that makes Windows Mobile shine.
